NY TIMES
MANHATTAN
COLORING BOOK
Jefferson Market
Library

1975

This was the first drawing that appears in this book of 30 NYC landmarks which was done in collaboration with Paul Goldberger, who was the architectural critic of the Times then and fills that same role at The New Yorker now. I did the drawings on the right and he did the descriptions on the left. I tried to emulate the Beaux Artes drawing style, but leaving open space for coloring, though I doubt anyone ever colored a page.

Graphite on vellum.
